BECOMING A MEMBER of ARCHS will entitle you to a free subscription to our journal, Augusta History. You will also receive invitations to our meetings on local history—at least three a year—and the receptions that follow. Local historians such as Bob Hester, Erick Montgomery, Steven Rauch, Leonard Todd, and Tom Robertson have made presentations on the Augusta Fire of 1916, Loyalist James Grierson, the life and legend of slave-potter Dave, a Confederate surgeon’s journal, and many tales and moments in Augusta’s history.
